Dr Duncan Gooch lives and works as a GP in Long Eaton, Erewash. He undertook his training in Nottingham and Derby and is familiar with the needs of the local population. Duncan has an interest in medical education acting as a trainer to Registrars and Undergraduates. His clinical interests include minor surgery, joint injections but his particular interest is for delivering person-centered care. In addition to his work as a GP he is Chair of Erewash Health and works locally with fellow GPs and provider organisations. Duncan’s role as Chair of Erewash MCP means that he provides clinical input to this national programme of new models of care.

Dr. Gail Walton

Dr Gail Walton joined Littlewick Medical Centre in 1988 and holds the position of Senior Partner, she has also recently become a Fellow of the Royal College of GPs. Gail’s clinical interests lie in Women’s' Health and substance misuse (having been a GPSI for 8 years). Gail is a locality lead for GP appraisal, and has an active interest in mentoring, recently joining the RCGP team supporting practices in special measures. Gail is particularly interested in working at the interface between the self-employed small business world of general practice and the wider NHS, so that all parties - particularly patients - get the best outcomes.
