On Day Service
To make it easier for our patients to receive a same day consultation for minor illnesses and conditions we have introduced the On Day Service.
We offer these same day appointments from Ilkeston and Long Eaton to reduce waiting times – our practices working together to give patients improved and quicker access to the healthcare they need. This means your appointment might not be at your normal GP surgery.
If you call for an appointment you may be directed to the On Day Service where you will be seen by a GP or an advanced care practitioner as appropriate.
The On Day Service is available from 8am to 6.30pm on weekdays, excluding bank holidays. To use it, patients just call their normal GP number.
Enhanced Access
We know that our patients sometimes need an appointment in the evening or at a weekend.
We setup the Erewash Enhanced Access service to offer appointments in Long Eaton and Ilkeston either at Long Eaton Health Centre or Ilkeston Community Hospital.
Monday to Friday appointments are available in the evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Long Eaton Health Centre and Ilkeston Community Hospital.
On Saturdays and Sundays there are available appointments at Long Eaton Health Centre and Ilkeston Community Hospital between 9am-5pm.
Appointments are also available on bank holidays.
To book an appointment in the evening or at a weekend please call our reception team on 0115 932 2968 during surgery hours. If you want to book an appointment outside of surgery hours please call 111.
Please do not turn up to this clinic without an appointment – we will not be able to see you.
If your condition is urgent, please call the out of hours service on 111 as normal.
Out of Hours
For urgent appointments outside our normal surgery hours, please call the emergency number 111.
